8/2/2015 Design, Practice, and ProcessSpent a late night (till midnight) at Fern Croft's Studio working with Erin on a few sets for the morning. For the most part I just set up "bulk frames" - At her direction and concept - and turned them over to her for "Finesse." In the mean time, I played with the available material. I tended to make a mess of the place as I needed to lay everything out so I could sense its qualities. Anyway. I don't think this was how many people would spend a Saturday night. Floral design is one of the base skills of assembling gardens. Depending on one's style of gardening, garden design employs and deploys the elementary skills of the florist only on a larger scale. I'm gonna have to talk to Erin about her paper towel fetish. More flowers. Less paper. (I can't wait to upgrade from the iPhone 4s)
